Logo and Website design

All design work is done based on a price agreed between Sea Web Design and the client. Any extras to the originally agreed project will be charged for.

A proposed design will be shown on a test website for the client to view. If the client is not satisfied with the design one more proposal will be made. Small changes to these designs will not be charged for however, any major changes to this will be added as an extra charge to the originally quoted price.

Before undertaking any modifications/updates to any website, Username and password will be required, this will be changed during updates and the new password given to you upon payment of work done

Hosting/Email:

We use a very reliable company to host our websites.

The host company endeavours to make the server and the services available to the customer 100% of the time however, as services are provided by means of computer and telecommunications systems, they make no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The host company and Sea Web Design are not liable, in any event, for interruptions of service or downtime of the server.

Server space is up to 3Gb with unlimited transfers

Email accounts will use POP3 / SMTP (Outlook, Outlook Express, windows mail, Foxmail ect) where the pop3 details will be provided by Sea Web Design, SMTP details will be provided by your ISP but can be provided if you have difficulty obtaining these.

Support:

Sea Web Design provides an update service to it's clients website charged at an hourly rate. Invoices are issued for payment of this service. We endeavour to update your website as soon as possible but large updates need to be planned for and agreed in advance.

We provide a basic support system to help with getting started with your email accounts. This service may be charged for if it becomes time consuming at our discretion. We are happy to help with advice but we do not provide an IT support service as such.

Registering your web address

When we receive your online quotation form we will advise whether the requested address is still available, if it is we recommend that you fill in the online registration form that will be sent to you as soon as possible to prevent the address being registered by anybody else. If by the time we receive payment the address has already been registered we will contact you as soon as possible with an alternative address. If this not acceptable we will refund your registration fee.

Payment

An initial Payment of £50.00 will be required before any work is undertaken, this is to cover setup and registration costs of the website / domain name. An Invoice will be sent by Email  with a link. Once payment has been received work will begin on your site and a further invoice will be sent on completion of the site. This will be paid within seven days. Payments are made with Paypal, if you don't have a Paypal account you can pay with credit card via payments secure site.

All transactions will be processed through Paypal, if you don't have a Paypal account you can pay with credit card via Paypal's secure site


Client base:

We produce websites for a wide range of purposes for our clients. However, we do not make websites for psychiatrists, psychologists, drug companies, adult entertainment, gambling or any related business types. We reserve the right to withdraw from any proposed project with a client should it be discovered their business involves any of the aforementioned activities. We also reserve the right not to enter into any project we feel would be offensive to anyone.

Privacy Policy / whois:

Sea Web Design keeps records of it's clients for business purposes only, such as invoicing and contacting regarding new services. We do not pass information on to any third party.
We are required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN"), the organization that assumes responsibility for domain name allocation, to collect information about you during the domain name registration process. This information includes your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and, where provided, your facsimile number. ICANN then requires all registrars to make your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and, where provided, your facsimile number, as well as the creation and expiration dates of your domain name registration and the name server information associated with your domain name, to the public via an interactive Web page and a "port 43" WHOIS service. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice we will refer to this information as your "WHOIS Information." Please note that we may not be able to control how members of the public may use the WHOIS Information.

Cancellation

Subscription periods last for 12 months at a time. 60 days before a 12-month subscription period, the subscription is Automatically prolonged, unless the subscription is cancelled as stated below.

A subscription can be cancelled at any time by the customer. Since the subscription period lasts for 12 months and is Automatically prolonged 60 days before the end of each 12-month period, a cancellation must be made at the latest 60 days before the 12-month subscription period. The unused portion of any advance payment will not be refunded. If the cancellation is not received in time the customer is obliged to pay the subscription fee for the following 12-month period.

General Usage

Customers are not permitted to store large amounts of data on the server for free download or reading. The purpose is not to function as an external hard drive for the storage of data in formats Such as zip, mp3, jpg, etc., but as a presentation/sales space for companies and private individuals.

Illegal material is not permitted, whether this be images, film cuts or hyperlink images or Such like material. Nor is it permitted to store erotic, pornographic or other offensive material on servers. It is entirely Sea Web Design’s decision to determine whether material belongs to one or more of the above Categories and the company reserves the right to delete any such material at any time without notice. In the event of such material being deleted the customer cannot advance any claim against Sea Web Design  related to the deletion.

 

Traffic is basically unlimited. However, traffic must be normal in nature and not disrupt that of other customers. If a customer's traffic disrupts that of others, Sea Web Design reserves the right to close the customer's web site without notice and/or make a separate charge for the traffic. Sea Web Design reserves the absolute right to decide whether or not traffic is excessive. On closure of a web site, no refund will be made of any subscription paid in advance.

 

Unwanted (spam) mail must not be sent from your domain email address. In the event of transgression of this rule, Sea Web Design reserves the right to inform the relevant authority and submit log details etc. to that authority.

 Domain Names

Domain names are registered in the customer's own name. In this respect, Sea Web Design assumes no responsibilities. Sea Web Design can under no circumstances be held responsible for losses incurred during the

moving/setting up of the domain name. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure, eight days after the order has been placed, that registration/redelegation of the domain has taken place. If registration/redelegation has not taken place, the customer must make this known to Sea Web Design

 

Any domain names registered will be registered in the client's name and as such the client maintains full ownership. Address details will be needed to register the domain name.
